About Us
Do you want to work for an authority that makes a difference in society and have meaningful and interesting tasks within trade and customs administration? If so, the Swedish Customs Authority (Tullverket) is for you.
The Swedish Customs Authority's operational activities are divided into four departments: control, collection, intelligence, and customs crime.
The Collection Department has a broad mandate within three areas of activity: permits, post-clearance audit, and collection surveillance. The Collection Department's operational work is carried out within four units with flexible groups that work with the entire department's mandate but are specialized based on the needs of the activity.
We are now looking for case handlers for the Collection Department in Unit West, based in Gothenburg.
About the Position
As a case handler, you can work in parallel or alternately with several tasks within permits and collection surveillance. The activity is largely demand-driven, which requires flexibility from the case handler and the ability to switch between different tasks. The complexity of the tasks varies, from simpler processing to independent assessment and investigation based on legislation.
The permit activity involves reviewing and investigating permit applications as well as monitoring already issued permits. Collection surveillance means that the case handler ensures that companies and private individuals comply with customs regulations. This is done, among other things, through checks of customs declarations and settlement notes. The work is carried out both independently and in groups and involves extensive contact with companies, agents, private individuals, and other authorities. Company visits occur.
The position requires flexibility and problem-solving skills to handle new issues and situations in a changing activity. Developing internal routines and improving working methods is a natural part of the work, as is implementing new regulations when they become relevant. Processing is performed in several systems.
