We are currently looking for a personal assistant for a young woman who needs support in her daily life. This is a role for you who enjoy working closely with people and want to contribute to creating a daily life filled with security, development, and quality of life.

The position covers approximately 25–30 % and the work consists of longer shifts with on-call sleeping duty. This setup gives you the opportunity to follow the client throughout the day and be an important part of her team.

This position is suitable for you who are looking for a part-time role, while there are good opportunities to work extra during sickness, holidays, and other absences in the work group. For those who are flexible, there may be an opportunity to increase your working hours if needed.

You work closely with a fantastic young woman and help her in her daily life – both at home and during activities outside. The role involves being a support in everything from daily routines to encouraging development, participation, and joy. Your mission is to enable participation, independence, and meaningful experiences.

The tasks may include, among other things:

• Providing support in daily routines
• Contributing to a clear and secure structure during the day
• Participating in activities and social contexts
• Supporting communication and interaction
• Being a present support based on the client's individual needs

Previous experience in care, elderly care, or personal assistance is a plus, but the most important thing is that you have the right attitude and a genuine interest in working with people.

Knowledge of PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System) or other forms of communication is an advantage, but we also view positively those who are curious and want to develop new skills.

Recruitment Process

We contact candidates who are suitable for a first interview on an ongoing basis. The position will be filled when we have found the right person, which may happen before the final application date. Your application will be processed by staff at Storsjöbygdens Personliga Assistans, together with the client, as well as any relatives, guardians, or other relevant parties. If the position involves working with a minor client, a certificate of good conduct is required.

Child's Perspective in Recruitment

At Storsjöbygdens Personliga Assistans, we carefully follow the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. This means that if you apply for a position involving work with minors, the recruitment process will include specific steps to ensure that the child's wishes and needs are taken into account. Employment involving work with minor clients also includes training on the child's perspective.

Terms of Employment

If you proceed in the recruitment process, you need to be able to verify your identity and prove that you have the right to work in Sweden. To sign your employment contract and time reports, you are required to have a BankID.

To ensure that we maintain high quality in the assistance, new employees will undergo a web-based introductory training (approx. 1 hour), preferably before the start of employment but no later than one month from the start date.
