We are looking for a trained assistant nurse for the Stockholm Dementia and Special Team

Please note:

You must be a fully trained assistant nurse (undersköterska) and be able to provide certificates and proof of the protected professional title to apply for this position.

We are looking for you who are an assistant nurse and have knowledge and interest in working with people who have memory diseases (dementia) and/or mental health issues, as we only serve customers within these areas in our home care operations. You have the option to work mixed between home care and supported living if you wish.

HOME CARE

Start date: Immediately

Working hours: 07:30–16:30

Schedule: Four-week cycle. This means your shifts are arranged in four-week cycles, with every other week involving weekend work. Full-time (100% – 37/37 hours).

Education requirement: Fully trained assistant nurse with a recognized Swedish certificate (1500 credits).

Salary: According to the company's collective agreement (Almega Vårdföretagarna).

Probation period applies for 6 months from the employment date according to the collective agreement.

Merits for the position:

• Knowledge, experience, and interest in working with people who have various dementia diseases or mental health issues.
• Experience from long-term employment in home care or elderly care facilities.
• Very good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written. This is required as customers often have difficulty understanding or speaking Swedish, and you need to be able to document in journals and read instructions.
• Social, persistent, patient, stress-resistant, proactive, and creative in your work approach.
• Ability to handle stress and plan and structure your work.
• Good local knowledge of Inner Stockholm as you travel to customers via public transport or on foot.

Job Responsibilities

You follow an activity schedule and visit customers in their homes to perform the services they are entitled to according to their care decisions. These services include, among other things, general and intimate hygiene, showering, cooking, social interaction, cleaning, laundry, shopping, accompanying to various facilities, and walks. We work extensively with motivation to ensure services are performed and use various work methods as tools.

We have team leaders and administrators staffing the office during daytime hours, where you can turn for support in your daily work.

Who are we?

Stockholm Dementia and Special Team is a home care company that performs services in the customer's own home. The operations also offer escort services, substitute care, and supported living.

We primarily target customers with varying degrees of dementia, mental health issues, disabilities, and substance abuse problems. Depending on your experience, competence, and interest, you can work more focused on a specific diagnosis or in a mixed role.

We use the time reporting system Paragå, where employees log in and out at each customer visit using a mobile phone and NFC tags. Documentation is done directly on-site in the customer's journal. Paragå monitors logins via GPS.

Where are we located and how do you get around?

We have customers in 8 different districts. You start and end each shift from our premises on Södermalm, regardless of which district you visit during the day. Travel to customers is done via public transport or on foot (the company owns no cars). A valid SL card is a requirement for this position.
