Nurse for the Emergency Department in Gävle

The Emergency Department in Gävle is part of Gävleborgskraften – our joint mission to create a sustainable and secure society for the entire county. We are ready to receive patients around the clock, year-round, and today we are approximately 120 employees who together drive a workplace characterized by development, learning, and improvement work. Here, you will meet patients with acute conditions within medicine, surgery, orthopedics, and pediatrics.

Job Responsibilities

As a nurse with us, you will work closely with nursing assistants and doctors across several specialties. The work is dynamic, varied, and requires quick assessments in a cross-professional team. With us, you will have the opportunity to develop your ability to make independent decisions, work systematically, and provide secure care in acute situations.

As a nurse with us, you will among other things:

• Receive, assess, prioritize, and triage patients.
• Be responsible for monitoring, treatment, and nursing care.
• Work in a team where collaboration, communication, and clinical decision-making are central.

Qualifications

You are a flexible and engaged person who thrives in an environment where the pace can change quickly and where you get to use your full competence. You are confident in your professional role and treat patients and colleagues with professionalism and empathy.

In the role of nurse, you must:

• Be a licensed nurse.
• Have at least one year of professional experience.

For this position, experience from an emergency department or ambulance is meritorious.
