Job Description

As a Resident Physician (Underläkare) with us in Bollnäs, your main task is to work on our post-operative care ward. The ward is open Monday to Friday, and here we treat orthopedic patients who have had back surgery or hip/knee prostheses, as well as urological patients (prostate surgeries) and some surgical patients (larger hernias or plastic surgery). You are responsible for rounds together with our specialist doctors and attending physicians, patient admissions and discharges, and ensuring that patients are well informed about follow-up care, etc. You also assist in acute situations that may arise on the ward. In addition, you assist daily, primarily with hip and knee prostheses surgeries in the operating room.

As a Resident Physician with us, you will work with:

• Patient administration such as admissions, discharges, and discharge summaries.
• Assisting in surgeries, primarily prostheses and back surgeries.
• Informing and documenting so that patients feel well informed about what they have undergone and what is expected in the post-operative period.

Qualifications

As a person, you are positive, responsible, and have good collaboration skills, as you will work together with several different professional groups. You are driven, take initiative, and have a problem-solving approach.

In the role of Resident Physician, you must have:

• A completed medical degree.

Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: Start date 2026-09-14 to 2027-03-14, with possible extension.
