We are looking for a Pharmacist for the Medicines Unit

There are currently around 35 employees at the Medicines Unit, the majority of whom are pharmacists. The overarching mission of the Medicines Unit is to promote rational, safe, and cost-effective use of medicines, as well as optimal medication management throughout the entire care chain.

Our tasks include clinical pharmacy, work in the drug committee, patient safety initiatives, and practical hospital pharmacy services such as medication services, production of inpatient doses, ward pharmacy, and manufacturing of cytostatics.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities will primarily be within medication supply. Based on the needs of care, as well as your competence and experience, we will adapt your tasks through dialogue.

As a pharmacist within medication supply, you can, among other things, work with:

• Medication services
• Production of inpatient doses
• Cytostatic manufacturing

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a strong interest in working in a hospital care environment in Gävle. You have good collaboration skills and can work in a team in a non-hierarchical manner, while also being able to perform your work independently without problems. You are expected to be engaged, service-oriented, and together with other employees, contribute to the development of the operations. We place great emphasis on personal qualities in the recruitment process.

In the role of pharmacist, you must:

• Be a licensed pharmacist or pharmacist (apothecary)
• Have good verbal and written communication skills

It is an advantage if you have preparation competence as well as experience from working in a hospital pharmacy.
