Do you have experience as a traffic safety administrator with a train operator? Or are you a train driver or shunter looking to pause your current operational duties and develop within the field of traffic safety? Then we are looking for you!

About the role

As a strategic traffic safety administrator at Tågab, you will be one of the key figures in our operations. You will handle strategic traffic safety matters and actively participate in developing our safety management system. Traffic safety is not just part of the job – it is the foundation of everything we do.

You will be part of the Safety and Quality department and serve as the right hand to the Traffic Safety Officer. You are also expected to participate in other assignments within the scope of safety and quality.

You will collaborate closely with operational traffic safety administrators on the tracks and managers at the workshop.

Tasks and responsibilities:

• Handle strategic traffic safety matters
• Conduct fact-finding and investigations
• Contribute to the industry organization's work in various focus groups
• Train colleagues on traffic safety issues
• Develop the safety management system
• Participate in the application process to renew our joint safety certificate
• Manage the expansion of Tågab's infrastructure permit
• Monitor legislation and interpret new requirements, translating them into Tågab's safety management system
• Participate in cross-functional work where traffic safety plays a role.
• Provide support in safety and quality matters as needed.
• Participate in audits, both internal and external
• Conduct risk analyses

Qualifications:

We are looking for someone who:

• Has worked as a train driver, shunter, traffic safety administrator, or has other experience deemed suitable by the employer
• Is interested in a full-time position as an administrator. The role cannot be combined with a driving position
• Has a strong safety mindset
• Is interested in development work
• Is a skilled and pedagogical communicator
• Enjoys reading and interpreting legal texts and has the ability to translate them into clear and manageable information
• Is a team player who thrives in collaboration with colleagues across different functions
• Has good digital competence
• Is solution-oriented, analytical, and has a professional demeanor
