Day Activity Services within the Disability Sector is now looking for five dedicated support assistants/support persons who wish to work in a broad, developmental, and varied work environment. With us, you will play a central role in creating, planning, and developing activities for citizens with various disabilities. The operations are conducted both in our own facilities and in close collaboration with external partners in society, providing a dynamic and varied workday. The work takes place in collegial teams with collaboration between several workplaces. You will initially join our resource pool, which means you will work where the need is greatest. This gives you a unique opportunity to get to know the different parts of the operation, build broad experience, and develop in your professional role. Our operations are based on a habilitative and salutogenic approach where the individual's development, self-determination, and participation are in focus. We invest in your development and offer competence development in areas such as sign support as well as alternative and augmentative communication (AAC).

You will start your employment in our resource pool, which consists of approximately 20 employees. Here, you work as a substitute at several different workplaces, covering planned and acute absences as well as training. You can work at different locations within the same week. You will receive an introduction at the workplaces you work at and are employed by a unit manager, but you work based on the operational needs within several parts of the organization. This means you do not have a fixed workplace; instead, you get the opportunity to discover the breadth of day activity services and gather valuable experience from several operations.

The positions are permanent with a work time of 100%. You will work office hours on weekdays without holidays. Start date according to agreement.

Your new job

As a support assistant/support person within day activity services, you will have a meaningful and varied job where you make a real difference in people's daily lives. You plan, carry out, and develop activities based on each individual's needs, with a focus on participation, self-determination, and personal development. You support citizens in both work-like tasks and social activities, contributing to creating a safe, stimulating, and developmental environment. The work also includes care interventions based on decisions, use of cognitive support, and documentation according to current guidelines. You work in close collaboration with colleagues and are an important part of developing the operation's working methods, with a clear focus on a habilitative and salutogenic approach.

Common tasks

  • Provide support to citizens to perform work tasks
  • Plan and create structure together with citizens
  • Collaboration with companies, colleagues, and networks around the citizen
  • Support citizens with personal hygiene and other care-related interventions
  • Documentation

Your qualifications

Requirements

  • Trained support assistant or other education that the employer deems equivalent. We would prefer that you have a pedagogical education
  • Good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing
  • Good computer skills
  • Class B driver's license

Merits

  • Experience working with people with disabilities
  • Experience in pedagogical work
  • Experience working with alternative and augmentative communication (AAC)
  • System familiarity with Viva, DF-respons, and/or Microsoft Office (Teams, Excel, Word, and Outlook)

Note that you do not need to send the police certificate with your application. It is presented first in connection with a possible employment.
