Building and maintaining roads and infrastructure is a big task. Contributing to societal development is even bigger. With us, you get to do both. We are now looking for a Project Engineer for our construction operations in the regions of Dalarna, Västmanland, and Gävleborg. At Svevia, we combine the camaraderie and team spirit of a small company with the stability of a large corporation. Here, you have the opportunity to develop as a road specialist – with commitment, collaboration, and responsibility.

Your role in a production-oriented position focused on occupational health and safety

As a Project Engineer, you are a key support in our construction projects, working closely with the site manager and the team throughout the entire project lifecycle – from start to finish. You monitor finances and schedules, handle contract issues, and are responsible for project documentation, including change and additional works. You also help develop project and production plans.

A central part of the role is to support and develop work within Quality, Environment, and Occupational Health and Safety (QEHS). You provide operational support to managers in their daily work and assist in handling risk observations, near-misses, and accidents. You follow up on, analyze, and contribute to improvement measures to create safer workplaces.

You participate in safety rounds, promote good order and safety on the job site, and help keep QEHS issues alive within the project. You work according to our routines and ensure that laws and requirements are followed, while contributing to continuous improvements in both projects and working methods.

Who are you?

To thrive as a Project Engineer with us, you enjoy a varied daily routine where you work close to production and drive projects forward together with others. You are structured and meticulous, yet flexible and solution-oriented when conditions change.

You have good knowledge of the Office package and a valid driver’s license (Category B). You are accustomed to working in a structured manner with a focus on schedules, finances, and documentation. You take responsibility for your tasks and understand the importance of following routines, agreements, and safety requirements. You enjoy working close to operations and supporting managers and teams in their daily work.

Experience from the construction industry and project work is meritorious. If you have also worked with Quality, Environment, and Occupational Health and Safety (QEHS) or with finances and follow-up in projects, we consider this an advantage.

As a person, you are engaged, take initiative, and want to contribute to improvements. Most importantly, you have the drive and willingness to contribute to safer, more efficient, and well-functioning projects.

Part of something bigger

With well-knit work teams, we build Sweden from the ground up – in concrete, steel, wood, stone, and earth. We do this by building roads, bridges, quays, and concrete structures for industry, government, and municipalities. Additionally, we break new ground and pave the way for water and sewage networks, wind power parks, and development areas. We also have specialized units within foundation work and land remediation. Together with Svevia’s other operations in road maintenance and paving, you become a vital cog in a larger societal machine. This opens up new opportunities for innovation and problem-solving.

Why Svevia?

At our company, you quickly become part of the team, and we strive to be a workplace for everyone. Decision-making paths are short, it is easy to influence, and to have your voice heard.

We offer career paths for those who wish to become managers and leaders, as well as for those who want to develop in their current professional roles. We create success as a team. This is how we do business and generate results. This is how we make cities and the countryside function. Do you want to share the road with us?
