Do you want to be part of creating the sustainable energy society of the future? We are now looking for a Junior Technical Specialist to join one of Sweden's most attractive companies in the energy sector.

About the role

Ellevio is facing significant and exciting technical changes and has begun the work towards a smarter power grid. By introducing more modern technology and increased digitalization, they aim to improve deliveries to customers and increase operational efficiency. This transformation places new and expanded demands on smart and well-functioning solutions, which is why Ellevio is now seeking Junior Technical Specialists who will play a central role in future operations.

As a Technical Specialist, you will become part of a team within the Operational Technology department. This unit is responsible for providing the solutions and infrastructure needed to control and monitor the power grid, streamline maintenance work, and handle troubleshooting and fault resolution in Ellevio's grid.

Your tasks will include writing guidelines, configuring, and testing equipment and functions within the system, thereby ensuring stable operations and high availability. You will also contribute to developing Ellevio's future solutions in this area – both within ongoing administration and by actively participating in various types of development projects.

This position is security classified, which means you will need to undergo a security clearance check.

Responsibilities

The role involves a combination of technical system administration and practical troubleshooting, where you ensure that signals from real-world grid stations are received and correctly interpreted in the control system.

  • Troubleshoot and analyze alarms
  • Configure and test signals from RTU units to the control system (SCADA and ADMS)
  • Participate in the commissioning of new grid stations
  • Develop and improve our processes to achieve higher efficiency and quality in our delivery.

We are looking for you who

  • Have completed post-secondary education in automation, IT, electrical power systems, telecommunications, or data communications, or equivalent competence acquired through work experience.
  • Communicate fluently in Swedish, both verbally and in writing, and have proficiency in English.
  • Hold Swedish citizenship as the position is security classified.
  • Have a strong interest in technology.

This position is security classified, which means you will need to undergo a security clearance check.

It is an advantage if you have

  • Experience working with RTUs or PLCs
  • Knowledge of SCADA/ICS systems
