REGION HALLAND

to apply for the job

Do you want to work closely with patients and follow their entire care journey within cardiology?

We offer a developing combined role where you will work both at the heart clinic and the cardiology ward, in an engaged team with a strong patient focus. Here you will find variety, continuity, and the opportunity to make a real difference – every day.

About the role and us

We are looking for a nurse for a combined position where 60% of the working hours are allocated to Ward 5C and the remaining 40% to the heart clinic/coronary care.

Ward 5C is a cardiology ward where four of the beds are intended for patients needing cardiac intensive care. All care beds on the ward offer cardiac monitoring. Common diagnoses on the ward include heart and vascular diseases, arrhythmias, heart failure, as well as pre- and post-operative care related to coronary, valve surgeries, pacemaker, and ICD insertions. Patients mainly come from the emergency department, but we also have planned admissions from the Heart Clinic and take-over cases from other hospitals.

As a nurse at the coronary clinic, you will have extensive patient contact. You will follow up with patients regularly after they have received their diagnosis. Common diagnoses include heart attack and angina pectoris. The follow-up includes monitoring the patient's well-being regarding medication, lifestyle changes, and other secondary prevention measures. Patients are offered and participate in heart school and physical cardiac rehabilitation, which takes place in close collaboration with physiotherapists. We follow the patient from the inpatient care on the ward until it is time for referral to the primary healthcare center. Contact is made both via phone and physical visits.

The wards collaborate closely and follow up with patients on the ward during and after the care period. Several staff members have combined roles and rotate between the clinic and the ward. There is a care-oriented service team (VNS) attached to us that handles nursing care for the ward, such as cleaning and material supply, which means we can focus on what we do best – the patients. We also have a shared leadership structure here.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse, preferably with experience within cardiology. As a person, we see that you enjoy working in a team, have a good manner of dealing with people, and are good at structuring your work. The role will involve a high degree of independent work where you feel confident making your own decisions. As a person, you are positive towards development and change work. You are flexible, have good collaboration skills, and we expect you to have a high level of commitment to your work. Great importance will be placed on personal suitability.

Does this sound like an exciting opportunity to work with? We warmly welcome your application!

Selection and interviews may take place continuously during the application period.
