About the role

As Venture Design grows, we are now looking for an operational buyer to join our assortment and purchasing team, which consists of a total of 7 people located in Växjö and in China. The role involves managing and developing our supplier and product portfolio, which is constantly evolving. You will work closely with both our sourcing team in China and the sales department, and you are encouraged to use AI tools to work smarter and faster. You will report to the COO.

Your responsibilities

• Negotiate purchase prices
• Ensure high delivery precision together with our suppliers
• Own and drive several product and supplier projects
• Monitor and develop the purchasing team's KPIs
• Manage and optimize supplier agreements

Who are you?

• You have one or two years of relevant experience.
• You are responsible and results-oriented.
• You are accustomed to working in a dynamic environment where the long-term agenda is balanced with the actions required here and now.

Qualifications and experience

• You likely have experience in purchasing, especially within Asian import and/or furniture, wood products, and consumer goods.
• You have experience working with a large assortment (+1000 articles).
• You have a proven track record of delivering good results.
• You can work in a team while there is room for individual performance.

Personal qualities

• Structured and analytical – you have the ability to work with multiple projects and agendas in parallel.
• Communicative in speech and writing in both Swedish and English.
• You have a "doer" mentality.
• Proactive and self-starting – you thrive in setting up and building processes as well as managing existing ones.
• Egoless and collaboration-oriented – you collaborate across different functions and stakeholders within the organization.

Scope: Full-time – permanent, with an initial probationary period
