Do you want to combine technology, project management, and public benefit? Kristianstad Municipality is looking for a Project Manager for the Water and Wastewater Department (VA), where you will lead your own smaller projects, participate in larger projects alongside experienced colleagues, and develop within an engaged and knowledgeable team.

Examples of responsibilities

In this role, you will work on interesting and socially important projects together with experienced colleagues at the Water and Wastewater Department. You will become part of a group of project managers with varying levels of experience, where collaboration, knowledge sharing, and daily support are a natural part of the work.

You will, among other things:

• Lead smaller reconstruction and reinvestment projects within the water and wastewater operations.
• Participate in larger investment projects as an assistant project manager alongside experienced colleagues.
• Work on projects involving pipe networks, pumping stations, as well as stormwater, sewage, and drinking water facilities.
• Collaborate with colleagues, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Be involved in several parallel projects with a focus on, among other things, pipe renewal and other water infrastructure.

Your work directly contributes to ensuring a sustainable water and sewage supply for the municipality's residents.

Your background, experience, and competencies

You have a technical post-secondary education, preferably in water and wastewater technology, civil engineering, road and water, mechanical, or construction engineering. A University College (YH) education in a relevant field is also interesting.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has worked for a year or several years in a technical role, such as project manager, project engineer, contracting engineer, or maintenance engineer.
• Has built experience within water and wastewater, process industry, mechanical installation, or other technical operations.
• Has knowledge of the water and wastewater sector and an understanding of the issues related to water and wastewater operations.
• Has a general understanding of AB, ABT, ABK, and AMA (Swedish construction contract standards).
• Has good skills in the Office package, especially Excel and Word.
• Has a B-class driver's license.

Meritorious

• Experience with project systems, such as Antura.

The Water and Wastewater Department is part of the Technical Administration, which consists of Facilities, Property Technology, the Secretariat, and the Water and Wastewater Department. The Water and Wastewater Department is in turn divided into three units; Production, Pipe Network, and Projects. There are 8 employees in the Projects unit, who together form a strong group within investments and projects. You will join a group that works closely together on complex projects, where every idea is valued and collaboration is highly appreciated.
