Who are we looking for?

We are looking for you who have experience in production technology and automation, preferably from manufacturing or process industry. You thrive in a broad technical role where you work close to production while driving development and improvement work. You have an interest in technology, process optimization, and automated production systems, and appreciate combining operational problem-solving with a structured approach.

Requirements and qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent education, or equivalent work experience
  • Experience working as a production technician or similar technical role
  • Experience in administrative work related to projects or production
  • Good system proficiency
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
  • Valid driver's license (Category B).

Meritorious:

  • Experience with Siemens S7 or other PLC and control systems
  • Experience with IoT solutions
  • Experience with SAP S4/HANA
  • Knowledge of LEAN and improvement work.

You work in a structured manner and have the ability to drive multiple activities in parallel while being meticulous in documentation and follow-up. The role involves many interfaces, meaning you enjoy collaboration and have good communication skills. You are also proactive and motivated by constantly finding new opportunities to improve processes and production flows.

What does the role entail?

As a Production Technician Automation, you will become a central part of Cyclife's Production Engineering team and work to ensure that the company's production equipment functions optimally. The role combines automation, production technology, and project management, where you work both operationally close to production and drive long-term development projects. You will analyze production flows, identify areas for improvement, and optimize machines and processes to create efficient, safe, and stable production. Tasks include but are not limited to:

  • Optimize and develop production equipment and automation solutions
  • PLC programming and troubleshooting in Siemens S7
  • Identify bottlenecks and analyze production data
  • Conduct feasibility studies, method selection, and time studies
  • Participate in or lead technical investment and conversion projects
  • Contribute automation expertise to LEAN and improvement work
  • Collaborate with production, maintenance, and other technical functions
  • Work according to the company's project model and ensure correct documentation
  • Work in SAP with project follow-up and economic reporting
  • Report project status to department manager and business area manager.
