The group home on Vitmossevägen in Gustavsberg, Värmdö, is looking for a residential support worker for a permanent position. The position is part-time.

The group home on Vitmossevägen is located in a mature row house area with proximity to two shopping centers, nature, sea bathing, and a bus stop. It takes approximately 25 minutes by bus to Slussen. There are also direct buses to the city center.

Six tenants with intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, and mental health issues live in the home, all with individual needs and support measures. The residents have mixed ages, and several have reached an advanced age requiring more care and supervision. They also require clear routines, structure, and a pedagogical approach. We work based on methodological support and use a low-affective work approach. A manager and a supervisor are attached to the operations.

The work involves providing support and services to the people living in the group home so that they can live a life like others. This means you will support a person with personal hygiene, establish and follow a clear daily structure, maintain contact with healthcare, psychiatry, and public dental care, administer medication, interpret needs and wishes, participate in various leisure activities, and support social contacts. The work also includes usual household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and cooking. Documentation is also an important part of the job.

You will also have the role of contact person, which means you have extra responsibility for one or more residents in the group home. This responsibility includes, among other things, creating implementation plans and ensuring that current routines are in place for the individual.

We are looking for someone with a nurse assistant education, care and nursing education, a pedagogical education, or equivalent, and who can work varying hours such as early mornings, evenings, and weekends, as well as daytime shifts. Since we have awake night staff on site, we do not have sleeping on-call duties. We are also looking for someone who has the ability to understand the life situation of people with intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, and mental health issues. Previous experience of similar work within LSS (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments), such as group homes or day activities, is meritorious. Other educations and courses in the area are also meritorious. You should have good documentation skills and master the Swedish language in both speech and writing.
