About the client and workplace

We are currently looking for a personal assistant for a teenage boy who lives in Hägersten with his family. He has autism and an intellectual disability and needs personal assistance for his daily life to function.

The client has a great need for clarity, routines, and present adults around him. He has limited communication skills and needs support to understand and handle different situations in daily life. An important part of the assignment is to plan and carry out activities that create joy, stimulation, and structure. This could involve cycling trips, walks, ball games, playing at playgrounds, or other outdoor activities based on the client's interests and daily condition. Therefore, we are looking for you who are proactive, enjoy being active, and see the value in motivating and creating a rich daily life.

As a personal assistant, you will become an important part of creating a safe, functional, and active daily life. The tasks include, among other things, help with personal hygiene, dressing and undressing, meals, communication, activation, and outdoor visits. The client has a significant need for supervision and requires a present assistant who can provide support, guidance, and security throughout the entire work shift.

Who are we looking for?

As a personal assistant, you need to be responsible, stable, and sensitive. You need to be able to work in a structured manner, follow routines, and at the same time adapt to the client's daily condition. It is important that you have a calm approach and the ability to create security in daily life.

Experience with autism, intellectual disability, PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System) as a communication method, personal assistance, or work with challenging behaviors is meritorious, but personal suitability is most important.

You need to have good ability to communicate in Swedish, as communication, collaboration, and clarity are important parts of the job.

Other Information

The work can be physically demanding and requires you to be attentive and present during the work shift. Introduction and shadowing are planned before you work independently.

Since the work involves assisting a child, we will request an extract from the criminal record register before employment can become relevant.
