As a nursing assistant in the Night Patrol, you work independently and variably with care, supervision, and support for individuals in their homes. With eight vehicles in operation, we work around the clock throughout Norrtälje Municipality, performing supervision, care, and rapid interventions when they are needed most.

About the position

The Night Patrol works on behalf of the home care service and provides support to individuals throughout Norrtälje Municipality during the night hours. The work is varied and involves both scheduled visits and emergency interventions following security alarms.

You work independently, while being part of an experienced team where collaboration and good communication are crucial to providing our customers with safe and secure care.

Your responsibilities

As a nursing assistant in the Night Patrol, you will among other things:

• Perform supervision and security visits at night.
• Provide support with personal care.
• Assist with toilet visits and transfers.
• Perform delegated health and medical care interventions.
• Respond to emergency calls when needed.
• Document performed interventions according to current routines.

No night is like the other, which makes the work both varied, developmental, and meaningful.

About you

We are looking for you who are trained as a nursing assistant and thrive working independently. If you do not have a nursing assistant education, we see that you instead have several years of experience with night work within home care and thereby have acquired corresponding competence for the assignment.

You are confident in your professional role, have good judgment, and can make independent decisions while knowing when you need to collaborate with colleagues or other professions. You have a respectful approach, are flexible, and have the ability to create calm and security even in unexpected situations.

Since the work takes place at night, you need to be able to prioritize, maintain calm, and quickly adapt when conditions change.

We are looking for you who want to contribute to the development of the operations. As an employee in the Night Patrol, you take active responsibility for developing working methods, routines, and collaboration to contribute to a good, safe, and sustainable work environment. For this position, you need:

• To be trained as a nursing assistant or alternatively have several years of experience working in night patrol.
• Experience working in elderly care, home care, or other care and support services.
• A driving license (Category B) and driving experience.
• Good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing.
• Good computer skills and experience with documentation.

It is meritorious if you have:

• Experience with night work.
• Experience with delegated health and medical care interventions.
• Knowledge of LifeCare, IntraPhone, and TakeCare.
