The Assistance Unit in the Enskede-Årsta-Vantör District Administration is a municipal provider of personal assistance. Our clients live in Enskede-Årsta-Vantör, Södermalm, and Tyresö.

As a personal assistant, you work in the client's home and support them in living the life they wish to live. Here, you become part of a committed operation where we work together to provide our clients with a good and independent life.

Your role

The assignment is to provide the best possible assistance to the client for a good quality of life and participation in society. The work involves being a support in all situations of life, from personal care at home to facilitating participation in work, school, or leisure activities.

You plan and carry out interventions based on decisions, the client's needs and wishes, and document your work. The role also includes performing delegated health and medical care tasks. To succeed in the job, you need to have a professional attitude towards both the client and their relatives, as well as within the work group.

We are looking for you who want to work as a personal assistant. Continuity is important to our clients, so we would prefer that you view the assignment as long-term.

Your skills and experience

Since the client requests only female assistants, we are recruiting only female employees for this assignment.

We are looking for you who:

• Have experience in personal assistance or similar operations.
• Have knowledge of and preferably practical experience working with people who have acquired brain injuries.
• Have experience working with a low-affective approach and can adapt your support based on the individual's daily condition and needs.
• Are proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written, as documentation and communication with the client, relatives, and healthcare contacts are part of the job.

You have great personal maturity, can set boundaries, and are punctual.

Enskede Årsta Vantör is one of 11 district administrations in Stockholm City. As part of Stockholm City, the administration provides preschool and leisure activities, care for the elderly and people with disabilities, social services, preventive and security work, urban development, and park maintenance to our 105,000 residents in the district. We face exciting challenges as the Enskede Årsta Vantör district grows and entirely new neighborhoods are built. Approximately 18,000 new apartments are planned by the year 2030.

To work with the elderly and people with disabilities in their homes for Stockholm City, you must provide an extract from the criminal record register. The extract must not be older than 6 months from the date of issue.
