Tactical Buyer

FA-Tec is a comprehensive production partner, working successfully as a subcontractor for leading engineering industries. We are a modern industrial company with a strong forward-looking attitude, comprising a great team of knowledgeable and engaged staff. In total, we have 85 employees working with qualified welding, machining, and assembly for customers with high demands. FA-Tec has an annual turnover of approx. 160 MSEK and has an aggressive growth plan ahead.
FA-Tec is part of Empower Group AB, which also includes Interconsult Sverige AB and TS Industrilackering AB. Together, the group currently has a turnover of approx. 300 MSEK.
About the Role
The role of Tactical Buyer is a key position within the purchasing department. The role combines administrative, operational, and tactical aspects, focusing on supporting daily purchasing activities while driving supplier dialogues, negotiations, and improvements. You ensure that daily operations run smoothly while contributing to the development of the purchasing function.
We are located in Falkenberg, and we expect employees to work on-site every day.
Responsibilities
- Support operational purchasing with orders, delivery tracking, and follow-ups.
- Manage supplier relationships and ongoing supplier communication.
- Ensure a functioning material flow regarding time, quality, and delivery.
- Handle discrepancies, outstanding notes, delivery issues, and price variances, while proactively working on improvements.
- Update and ensure the quality of material and price data in the business system (Monitor).
- Participate in supplier negotiations and contribute to competitive terms.
- Manage and conduct Request for Quotations (RFQ) as well as select and evaluate suppliers.
- Contribute to the structure and development of purchasing processes and working methods.
Who We Are Looking For
To thrive in this role, you are solution-oriented and not afraid to tackle problems. You are communicative and confident in dialogues with suppliers, and you have the ability to handle both administrative and more business-oriented tasks. We are looking for someone driven by collaboration, lack of hierarchy, and creating good relationships.
Qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience in purchasing.
- Fluent Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
- Structured and meticulous.
- Self-motivated and takes responsibility for driving cases forward.
Merits
- Experience from manufacturing industry.
- Ability to read and understand drawings.
- Good proficiency in the Monitor system.
- Experience in sustainability work or sustainability reporting within purchasing.
