About the Department

The Palliative Ward is part of the Palliative Clinic, where we provide specialized palliative care located at Falu Hospital. We have 8 beds and receive patients from across Dalarna. Teamwork is central, and all professional groups contribute to high-quality care. Here, it is important to care for patients, relatives, and each other with professionalism, consideration, and respect. With a holistic view of the individual, our goal is to create security and a good quality of life for the patient and their relatives through high accessibility, involvement, and continuity.

Job Description

We are now looking for a nurse for our Palliative Care Ward. The care focuses on patients with severe symptoms who are in the final stages of life. Our ambition is to make the illness period as good as possible for the patient and their relatives.

We care for patients with varying diagnoses and advanced symptoms. This involves standard healthcare tasks that combine medical technology with good nursing care. Some of our patients have, for example, central lines, drains, and receive medication via pumps. We are looking for someone who is curious and open to challenges. Meeting severely ill patients and their relatives requires personal maturity and confidence in your professional role.

Qualifications

You are a licensed nurse with an interest in palliative care. It is important that you are empathetic and have a good approach towards patients, relatives, and colleagues. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities and your understanding of different social and cultural contexts. Interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis.
