WE WANT SWEDEN'S HAPPIEST RESIDENTS. ARE YOU WITH US?

In Flens Municipality, we are committed to building something long-term. A society where people thrive, grow, and stay. Our new and bold vision, Flen – Sweden's Happiest Municipality, is more than just words. It is a direction we have chosen together and a reminder of who we are here for. In every meeting with a resident, in every decision we make, in every day we shape – we must think with our hearts. And it starts with us. We are now looking for three support assistants for the group home on Salstagatan and personal assistance.

HERE ARE YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

As a support assistant in Flens Municipality, you will work within both personal assistance and group housing. Your role is to support and motivate people with disabilities in their daily lives, enabling them to live as independent and meaningful lives as possible.

You assist with personal care, create structure in daily routines, and support in the home with household chores and activities. Through clear pedagogy and low-affective interaction, you work to strengthen the individual's independence and participation. Your focus is on listening, respecting, and adapting support to each person's unique needs and wishes.

Together with your colleagues, you contribute to a safe and stimulating environment where every individual has the opportunity to develop and feel seen.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS ROLE:

  • Upper secondary education.
  • Education and/or work experience within the field of disabilities, LSS (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments).
  • Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
  • Valid B-driver's license (manual transmission).

WE VALUE THE FOLLOWING HIGHLY:

  • Strong experience working within the field of disabilities, with a focus on Neurodevelopmental Disorders (NPF).
  • Experience working with clear pedagogy, such as AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication).
  • Training in Motivational Interviewing (MI).

YOUR PERSONAL QUALITIES

We believe you are a person who is flexible, self-initiative, and meticulous in your work. You are structured, take responsibility, and are passionate about supporting and developing the people you meet in your daily life. With your ability to collaborate and contribute new ideas, you help drive the operations forward together with your team.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

WHY WORK WITH US?

In Flens Municipality, we want to give you good conditions to thrive both at and outside of work. We offer, among other things, holiday swapping, fitness allowances, and reimbursement for patient fees up to the high-cost protection limit – and there are even more benefits. Many of our workplaces also have good commuting opportunities. You can read more about what it is like to work with us on the municipality's website: flen.se.

READY TO APPLY?

We recruit based on competence and do not read cover letters. Apply by attaching your CV, any certificates, and answering the selection questions. As an applicant, you are responsible for clearly documenting your competence in your answers to the questions, as these form the basis of our assessment. Be sure to answer in detail and avoid referring to your CV.

During the interview, you will need to show valid identification, such as a passport or national ID card. A driver's license together with a personal registration certificate (downloadable via the Swedish Tax Agency) is also acceptable. If you are not a citizen of Sweden, the EU, EEA, or Switzerland, you must instead show that you have a valid work permit or are exempt from the requirement.

About the position:

  • Scope: Full-time, permanent (probationary period may apply). Full-time equivalent 37 hours per week.
  • Start date: According to agreement.
  • Salary: Individual salary setting.
  • Application deadline: 2026-08-02
  • Working hours: Daytime, evenings, nights, and weekends. On-call duties included.

Pre-employment checks:

  • In the case of employment in leading positions, operationally critical roles, operations involving children, or work in the homes of elderly and adults with disabilities, the employer may request an extract from the criminal record.
  • Union representatives can be reached via Contact Center, 0157-43 00 00.

NOTE! If you have protected personal data, you should not submit your application via our system. Contact the municipality's website or the Contact Center for instructions.

Warmly welcome to Flen!
