Your Role

Do you want to help ensure high quality in our systems while contributing to the development of robust test solutions? We are now looking for a software developer with a test profile who is passionate about quality assurance, automation, and knowledge sharing.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Developing and maintaining automated tests (e.g., integration tests, CI tests, and unit tests)
• Working with and improving our CI/CD pipelines
• Managing and analyzing bug reports and driving improvement initiatives
• Maintaining and improving test environments
• Working systematically with test repositories
• Designing, writing, and documenting test cases

The role also involves contributing to the development of our overall test strategy and ensuring a high level of quality throughout the entire development process. You will have the opportunity to influence how we move forward, while supporting and training colleagues in testing and quality, for example through workshops or mentoring. This is a central role in a team focused on quality and innovation, where you will work in a modern technical environment with a flexible working approach and excellent opportunities for competence development and knowledge sharing.

The position is based at our office in Karlskoga.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who have experience in software development and test automation, with a good understanding of how quality is built into the entire development chain. You have good knowledge of integration testing, CI/CD and pipelines, unit testing, as well as test environments and test data management. Furthermore, you are accustomed to working with bug tracking and issue tracking tools. You also have experience working with test repositories and version control, such as Git.

As a person, you are structured, quality-conscious, and communicative. You enjoy supporting others and have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. For us, your personal qualities are part of the overall assessment in this recruitment.

It is an advantage if you have experience with DevOps work, test strategies and test management, container-based environments such as Docker or Kubernetes, as well as modern testing tools and frameworks.

The position requires that you undergo and pass the security clearance process according to applicable regulations. For positions where Saab has security classification requirements, this may, in some cases, entail citizenship requirements.
