With a structured approach, strong analytical skills, and good collaboration abilities, you contribute to ensuring the project's progress and creating value throughout the entire execution phase.
The Role of Lead Planner
As a Lead Planner, you lead and quality-assure the project's planning process. You are responsible for establishing, developing, monitoring, and using schedules as an active control tool throughout the project's various phases. The role involves close collaboration with other key functions within the project.
Your responsibilities include:
- Having primary responsibility for the project's schedule management and time tracking, including progress, forecasts, and deviation management
- Leading, coordinating, and quality-assuring the work with the project schedule in collaboration with project schedulers and other key functions
- Ensuring that schedules are created and structured according to the project's common working methods, WBS, and NCC's processes
- Analyzing the interplay between time, production, procurement, design, economics, and contractual obligations
- Identifying, analyzing, and reporting time-related risks, opportunities, and consequences for the project's execution
- Producing clear decision and forecast support for project management, steering groups, and clients in collaborative projects
- Contributing to the development of working methods, tools, and techniques within planning, for example through critical path analysis, alternative scenarios, and progress monitoring
- Supporting project management in matters related to contract time, change management, and time-related commercial issues.
Your Profile as a Lead Planner
We are looking for someone with experience leading and driving planning work in complex environments, preferably within larger construction and/or infrastructure projects. You understand how the schedule impacts the project's economics, resource planning, procurement, design, and production.
You have strong analytical skills and can translate detailed information into well-founded decisions that support the organization's overall goals. At the same time, you have the ability to see the big picture, identify interdependencies, and foresee the consequences of different choices.
You have a good understanding of production flows and thrive in a role where you get to create structure, coordinate various stakeholders, and contribute to keeping the project on track throughout the entire execution phase.
You have excellent communication skills and can engage others in the planning work, create alignment between different functions, and convey complex information in a clear and pedagogical manner.
You communicate fluently in both Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing.
Experience with Primavera P6 is an advantage.
