We are now looking for a Software Configuration Manager for a leading company in the defense industry. Here you will work in a technologically advanced environment where software solutions interact in complex systems for marine platforms.

As a Software Configuration Manager, you will become part of a leading company in the marine defense industry and their Information Security and IT Architecture department. Here, IT systems for marine platforms are developed and further developed with a focus on information security and robust solutions for complex IT environments. The team consists of approximately 30 people with varying experience, and you will work closely with IT architects, systems engineers, software developers, and other technical specialists.

In this role, you are responsible for ensuring structured and quality-assured handling of software throughout the entire development process. You work in a complex development environment where in-house and purchased software solutions interact, and where traceability, version control, and well-functioning working methods are crucial. You support the development team with questions related to configuration management, version control, and release processes.

For the team, this is a new role where you, together with other Configuration Managers, will build up and further develop working methods, processes, and tools. You will become an important part of creating scalable and sustainable configuration management for advanced systems where in-house and external software are integrated.

Examples of tasks:

• Responsible for version control, baselines, and change management of software
• Ensure traceability throughout the entire development and release process
• Support the development team with questions regarding Software Configuration Management and established working methods
• Contribute to developing processes and working methods for efficient and quality-assured configuration management

• Have at least a university degree in system development, systems science, computer science, or similar
• Have at least one year of experience in development, preferably in a role within Software Configuration Management or with similar tasks
• Have experience with version control, such as Git
• Have experience with build, release, and CI/CD processes
• Speak and write fluent Swedish and English, as both languages are used in daily work

It is meritorious but not a requirement if you have:

• Experience from the defense industry or other security-classified operations
• Worked in large or security-critical development environments as well as with system integration or product development
• Knowledge of configuration management, DevOps, and CI/CD processes

We believe that you have previously worked as a software developer or in another technical role and then developed towards Software Configuration Management. You appreciate structure, precision, and order, and are motivated by creating working methods that make complex development projects more efficient and traceable. You have an analytical approach to work, enjoy process-oriented work, and find it easy to collaborate with different functions. Furthermore, you are communicative, quality-conscious, and thrive in a role where you take responsibility and contribute to long-term improvements.

This is a consulting assignment, which means that you will be employed by Friday.

The position requires that you undergo and are approved according to current regulations for security protection. For positions where the customer has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for certain citizenship.
