Furuvik Havshotel is located right by the water with a fantastic view of the sea. The hotel's restaurant, Havskrogen, is the heart of the experience and welcomes guests year-round. Here we serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with the goal of creating taste experiences throughout the year, from the summer season to Oktoberfest, Halloween, and the Christmas buffet.

About the role

We are now looking for a Sous Chef with original ideas, genuine engagement, and the desire to develop both the business and the people around them. Here you will combine creativity, leadership, and a love for food in a restaurant with great variation throughout the year, where no season is like the other. You will have a role where you lead in the daily work while simultaneously having the opportunity to influence, develop, and put your own stamp on Havskrogen.

As Sous Chef at Havskrogen, you are a key person in the restaurant team, both as a leader and an integral part of the team when things get busy. You work closely with the Restaurant Manager and have an active role in developing our business. Your ideas and initiatives are welcome, and we would love for you to contribute to making Havskrogen even better. We believe that the best guest experiences are created by employees who thrive, develop, and feel pride in what they do.

The role includes among other things:

  • Leading and supporting the team in daily work during service
  • Ensuring high quality in food, service, and guest experience
  • Being an active part of the operations and supporting where needed
  • Collaborating closely with the Restaurant Manager and contributing to the development of the business
  • Working on planning between seasons, such as menu development and structure
  • Handling orders, inventory, and time reporting
  • Contributing ideas and initiatives that develop Havskrogen over time

About you

You are an experienced restaurant manager and chef with a feel for food, drink, and people. We believe that you:

  • Have experience as a Sous Chef or in another supervisory role within the restaurant industry
  • Are an engaged leader who inspires and gets the team to perform their best
  • Bring ideas, see opportunities for improvement, and take initiative
  • Are flexible and solution-focused in a fast-paced environment
  • Have a natural economic mindset in everyday work
  • Communicate fluently in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing

A restaurant education is meritorious but not a requirement. We value the right attitude and experience equally.

Practical information about the position

The position is a permanent employment starting July 30th or as agreed. Working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, and weekends. The position is full-time, and we apply individual salary setting. We do not offer staff housing.
