Staff Member for Coordination and Counseling in Intimate Partner Violence

The Individual and Family Care department consists of the IFO Director, unit managers, and teams within adult services, child/youth/family, social assistance, social services, foster homes, family law, intimate partner violence, integration, and municipal psychiatry.

Job Description
We are now looking for an engaged and competent employee who will work with counseling in the area of intimate partner violence and have overall responsibility for the municipality's work on IPV. The position also includes preventive and outreach work, both towards victims of violence, perpetrators, and other socially vulnerable groups in the municipality. The assignment also includes being part of the municipality's crisis support group.
In the role, you will:
- Work with counseling and support measures for people exposed to intimate partner violence, and if necessary, also for perpetrators.
- Have coordinating and overall responsibility for the municipality's work on IPV.
- Develop, coordinate, and follow up on routines, guidelines, working methods, and collaboration in the area.
- Work preventively and outreach, both internally and externally.
- Conduct outreach activities towards socially vulnerable groups in the municipality.
- Collaborate with other activities within the municipality as well as with external actors such as the region, police, civil society, and other authorities.
- Contribute to competence-enhancing measures, information, and education in the area of intimate partner violence.
- Be part of the municipality's crisis support group and in serious incidents provide psychosocial support to those affected and their relatives, as well as contribute to ensuring continued contact with relevant support measures.
Qualifications and Merits
We are looking for you who have:
- A degree in Social Work, Social Care, or equivalent academic education assessed by the employer as equivalent.
- Documented experience of working with counseling within intimate partner violence.
- Good ability to put yourself in other people's situations and can meet each individual person where they are.
- Ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
Merits:
- Further education in counseling methods, for example CBT, trauma-informed care, or similar.
- Experience of coordination or development work previously.
- Experience of outreach and preventive social work.
- Experience of working in collaboration with several actors.
- Experience with the documentation system Lifecare.

Employment Terms
Employment Type: Permanent.
Duration: Permanent, start date: According to agreement, recruitment is ongoing, and the position may be filled before the application period ends. Probation period may apply.
