At Astrid Lindgren's World, visitors step directly into the world of fairy tales and become part of it. Here, children and their families can meet, talk, and play with characters from Astrid Lindgren's books. Our visitors get to see the stories from the well-known books performed in over 25 shows every day. The park has nearly half a million visitors each year, making us Sweden's largest outdoor theater and a fairy-tale world that creates lifelong memories. Our goal is to bring Astrid Lindgren's writing to life and to work in her spirit, based on the core value that all people have equal worth. With us, everyone is a significant part of creating an authentic and genuine experience of Astrid Lindgren's World.

As an actor at Astrid Lindgren's World, you stay in character for the entire workday. The core of our theater activity is the immediate contact and meeting with each visitor, which takes place between our performances. At our workplace, you will also have children as colleagues. Therefore, we look for someone who is flexible, attentive, and eager to create together with them, keeping the child's perspective at the center.

To apply for the role of actor with us, you need education and/or professional experience within theater/dance/singing. Prior knowledge in improvisational theater is an advantage. Astrid Lindgren's World is open from May to August, seven days a week, in all weather conditions. Therefore, it is important to us that you are solution-oriented, take personal responsibility, and can handle rapid changes.

Employment Period 2: approx. April 12 – August 15, 2027

Employment Period 3: approx. April 19 – August 15, 2027

Salary: According to the agreement between Scen & Film and Svensk Scenkonst

Last day to apply: August 24, 2026.

Auditions will take place on one of the following dates:

September 29 - Audition primarily for individuals who have previously worked with us. Individuals who have previously attended callbacks may also be called for this day.

September 30 - Audition for new applicants as well as those who could not make it on Sep 29.

October 1 - Audition for new applicants as well as those who could not make it on Sep 29.

The audition will be held at Astrid Lindgren's World, Vimmerby.
