We are looking for a Production Manager for our branch in Veddesta. The role is central to daily operations and suits you if you want to work close to the operations, lead people, and drive improvements in a larger production environment.

At our branch in Veddesta, we receive and handle large material flows from customers in the region. The operations primarily involve iron, metal, hazardous waste, and alternative raw materials, where sorting, processing, and efficient production flows are central parts. The branch is one of Stena Recycling's larger facilities with a turnover of approximately 800 MSEK and around 40 employees within production, branch management, sales organization, customer support, and specialist functions. The collaboration between functions is close, and the role of Production Manager is a key part in driving both daily operations and long-term development.

About the role

As a Production Manager, you have a central role in daily production. You lead, plan, and distribute work in the operations and work closely with your employees to create a safe, secure, and motivating work environment. You are responsible for monitoring production key performance indicators (KPIs), driving improvement and change work, and ensuring that environmental and occupational health and safety requirements are met. Together with the branch manager and other support functions, you contribute to developing the operations both operationally and long-term.

Examples of tasks:

  • Lead and develop employees through clear leadership, competence development, and recruitment when needed.
  • Work with systematic improvement work, process optimization, and Lean/5S.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators and initiate measures to improve results.
  • Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety, environmental, and security requirements.

You have personnel and occupational health and safety responsibility for approximately 17 employees in production and have support from foremen in daily operations. The branch also employs a branch manager, sales organization, customer support, and product specialists.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience in personnel responsibility.
  • Experience from a similar leading role within production or industry.
  • Good system proficiency and experience working with key performance indicators.
  • Experience with occupational health and safety responsibility and a valid B-driver's license.
  • Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as spoken English.

Meritorious:

  • Practical experience with Lean and 5S.
  • University education.
  • Experience with production economics.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
