Do you want to use analysis, improvement work, and business development to strengthen future maintenance? We are looking for a Facility and Development Manager who wants to develop working methods and drive improvements together with the operations.

The sustainable transition starts with us

We are facing our biggest challenge so far – ensuring that Sweden and Europe have what is needed to transition. So that we can live the life we want, now and in the future. Just as we want to improve the future, we want to develop everyone who is with us on this journey, both personally and professionally. Do you want to be part of laying the foundation for the life we live and the world around us?

Your role

Strategic Maintenance is a section within Development with a clear mission – to develop and improve working methods within operational safety and maintenance. As a support function to our production operations, we work to create common working methods, efficient processes, and the right system support that contribute to safe, efficient, and sustainable production. We are now looking for more colleagues who want to help drive this development forward.

As a Facility and Development Manager, you work closely with the operations to develop working methods within maintenance and operational safety. With the support of analysis and monitoring, you identify opportunities for improvement and drive development initiatives that create long-term business value.

You analyze results, identify causes of deviations, and lead improvement work together with the operations. The goal is to create sustainable working methods and a more efficient maintenance operation.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • monitoring and analyzing key performance indicators to drive improvement
  • identifying trends, deviations, and improvement opportunities based on set goals and processes
  • supporting operations in the implementation and development of working methods, processes, and system support
  • contributing to the development of methods, routines, and governing processes within maintenance
  • prioritizing and making decisions on cases and improvement proposals from operations

The role is both strategic and operational, giving you the opportunity to influence how working methods and system support are developed to contribute to safe, efficient, and sustainable production.

What you bring with you

You are analytical and structured, with the ability to see connections and drive improvement. You have strong personal drive, make decisions, and bring others along in change.

You build trusting relationships, collaborate readily across organizational boundaries, and drive work forward even when conditions change.

Requirements for the position:

  • Technical or other relevant university education, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience in maintenance and improvement work within heavy industry
  • Good system understanding and experience working with digital tools, such as SAP, IFS, or similar
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
  • A valid driver's license (Category B) is a requirement for all positions at LKAB

Meritorious qualifications:

  • Experience in operational safety work or material supply
  • Experience in analyzing key performance indicators and translating results into improvement measures
  • Experience in change management and project management.
