Do you want to work in a role where you truly make a difference in a young person's life? We are now looking for an engaged, reliable, and responsible teaching assistant for our operations in Klässbol. Here, you will have the opportunity to work closely with students in need of special support and contribute to their development both academically and socially.

As a teaching assistant, you are a vital support for one or more students throughout the school day. You work in close collaboration with teachers, special education professionals, and other school staff to create a safe, inclusive, and structured learning environment. The role involves adapting your support based on the student's individual needs, with the goal of strengthening the student's independence, self-esteem, and ability to participate in lessons.

The work is varied and requires flexibility, sensitivity, and a professional approach. You are present in the classroom, during breaks, at after-school care, and during transitions between different activities throughout the school day.

Qualifications

To succeed in the role of teaching assistant, we look for you to have:

• A genuine interest in working with children and young people, and the ability to build trusting relationships.
• Previous pedagogical experience working with children or adolescents, preferably within a school setting.
• Education in pedagogy, child and youth care, or other education deemed relevant by the employer.
• Knowledge of or experience working with students in need of special support, for example within the field of NPD (neurodevelopmental disorders).
• Knowledge of PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System) signs as a support tool.
• Valid driver's license and access to a car.
• Good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written.

Responsibilities

As a teaching assistant, your responsibilities include:

• Providing individual support to students during lessons.
• Helping to create structure, clarity, and predictability in the student's daily life.
• Supporting the student's social development and interaction with others.
• Participating in follow-up meetings together with teachers and school health services.
• Adapting materials and working methods based on the student's needs.
• Being a reliable support during breaks and in various school environments.

What We Offer

We offer a fixed-term position at 100% until 2026-12-31, with the possibility of extension.
