The Data and Analytics business area aims to be a catalyst for using data as a strategic resource and supporting solutions that promote business goals at all levels – national, regional, and local.

We are now looking for a Domain Architect for the Data and Analytics business area, with a focus on the information, analytics, and AI domains. The role covers both clinical and administrative information and is central to the development of Västra Götaland Region's long-term capabilities in data, analytics, and AI.

Your Mission

In this role, you have overall responsibility for the architecture within your domain – from target vision and strategy to governance, change, and realization. You work from the perspectives of business, information, application, and infrastructure, ensuring that solutions are developed in line with target architecture, principles, and strategic initiatives.

You will work closely with business representatives, strategists, system administrators, and solution architects to prepare new initiatives and projects as well as support ongoing development efforts. We also have an Enterprise Architect who supports and leads the overarching architecture work. The role involves both strategic and operational work where you document changes, drive target architecture, and ensure that solutions can be realized in a sustainable and reusable manner.

As a Domain Architect within Data and Analytics, you will become part of VGR's architecture governance and a key figure in the work with target architecture and transition architecture. You contribute to structuring the long-term shift within data and information with a focus on quality, standardization, interoperability, and strategic development.

You will collaborate with other architecture disciplines, such as solution architecture, integration, and infrastructure, to enable and realize target and conceptual architecture.

The role also involves close collaboration with Enterprise Architects regarding the business areas' analysis needs. We work according to agile methods, which also characterizes the architecture work. In the role, you work together with other departments within agile development value streams and so-called trains (agile release trains).

We use the architecture framework Varvet, which is based on TOGAF, and document the architecture in Orbus.

To succeed in the role, you need:

• Relevant university education, for example in systems science, computer science, informatics, or other relevant IT education at university level
• At least five years of experience working as an IT architect in larger organizations where you have defined IT solutions within complex business areas

We are looking for you who have experience with:

• Business and information architecture
• Work with complex data and integration environments
• Collaboration between business and IT
• Translating information models into system configuration and development
• Ensuring reusable architecture components and common frameworks
• Agile working methods and cross-functional teams
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both in speech and in writing

Meritorious:

• Work within public administration
• Information architecture within healthcare
• Standards and models such as FHIR, HL7, OpenEHR
• Work within analytics, information, or AI platforms
• Data Governance and information quality
• TOGAF or similar architecture frameworks
