AFRY has a global reach with deep roots in the Nordic region. Together, we accelerate the transition to a more sustainable society.
Job Description
Do you want to support companies in ensuring that their products meet requirements and can be placed on markets worldwide?
We are now looking for a Product Compliance Consultant who wants to work closely with our customers on product regulations, product safety, and requirement interpretation. In this role, you help organizations understand what regulations mean in practice – and how they should be applied in the development and launch of products.
In the role, you will:
- Work with product regulations, product safety, and requirement interpretation
- Interpret and translate standards, directives, and legal requirements into practical guidance
- Support development teams with questions regarding regulations within technology, safety, and sustainability
- Work with CE marking and product approval for market access
- Monitor how regulations develop and what this means for products moving forward
- Create and maintain quality management systems
Who are we?
Our Compliance & Quality Management (CQM) section consists of approximately 20 employees in Stockholm, Uppsala, Malmö, and Gothenburg. Among our employees, ranging from newly graduated to senior professionals, there is a broad competence within quality, product compliance, and business development. We work with products throughout their entire lifecycle as well as processes across the entire organization in various industries.
Qualifications
We would like you to have:
- Relevant university degree in engineering, environmental science, or equivalent
- At least 3–5 years of experience working with product legislation, preferably within manufacturing industry or as a consultant
- Good knowledge of one or more of the following regulations: Battery Regulation, Machinery Directive/Regulation, General Product Safety Regulation, REACH, RoHS, Low Voltage Directive (LVD), EMC, Radio Equipment (RED), Pressure Equipment Directive, Medical Devices (MDR/IVDR, ISO 13485, QMSR)
- Ability to interpret and apply EU legislation in practice
- Fluent Swedish and English in both speech and writing
It is not a requirement that you have worked with all the areas mentioned above – it is more important that you have experience working with product regulations and are accustomed to familiarizing yourself with new standards, directives, and legal requirements.
Our consulting group is characterized by collaboration, openness, and professionalism, and we are driven by creating added value for our customers. Our business area can, in addition to consulting services, also offer our customers packaged solutions and products.

We offer a workplace with a forward-looking attitude and security in the form of collective agreements and employee benefits for all our employees. Our staff club arranges social activities both on and off-site. Everything from ski trips, choir singing, to playing board games – there is something for everyone.
