About the Trainee Program

Ready to take the next step in your career and invest in a high-demand profession? Then our welding trainee program is the right path for you!

We are proud to launch the fourth cohort of this highly sought-after welding program in collaboration with BAE Systems Hägglunds.

This program offers a unique opportunity for paid vocational training, whether you are new to the industry or already have experience and wish to further develop your skills in welding. During the training, you will be employed by Dala Industrisupport and receive your practical training on-site at BAE Systems Hägglunds – a global leader in developing and manufacturing advanced tracked vehicles and combat vehicles. The goal is for you to be offered employment directly by them upon completion of the program.

How the training works:
  • Theory and practice: The training takes place in Örnsköldsvik and consists of both theoretical modules and practical training. (Training start date: November 2nd, 2026).

  • Personal supervision: The group consists of a limited number of participants, ensuring you receive close and individual guidance from our experienced trainers at Dala Industrisupport.

  • Salary and working hours: You will work weekdays from 07:00–16:00 and receive a salary of approximately 24,000–25,000 SEK/month during the training period. Shift work may occur after training, and the starting salary at BAE Systems Hägglunds is approximately 31,000 SEK/month.

  • A secure start: The program is designed to provide a safe and sustainable introduction to the profession, meeting the industry's high standards. You will be given the right prerequisites to succeed as a welder – both technically and practically.

About You

We are looking for someone with a genuine interest and willingness to learn welding. Previous experience is not required – we welcome everyone regardless of background. However, if you have worked with assembly/mechanics or have done welding as a hobby, this is considered an advantage.

To thrive in the role of a welder, you must be able to work independently while also functioning well in a team. You are goal-oriented, curious, and driven to develop and learn industrial work methods. Since welding is physically demanding and often involves working in hot and static positions, we also look for someone who is enduring and in good physical shape.

Basic Requirements
  • No medical restrictions preventing you from working as a welder.

  • Passed drug test and safety interview.

  • Very good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written.

  • Standard computer literacy.

  • Residing in Örnsköldsvik or surrounding areas, or willing to relocate.

Merits
  • Previous welding experience, professional or hobby level.

  • Experience in practical trades.

  • Forklift license.

  • Overhead crane license.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
