Are you an experienced welder looking to take the next step in your career? We are looking for robotic welders for our new facilities. No prior robot experience is required as we offer training in control systems and programming as needed.
BAE Systems Hägglunds has an exciting future ahead with long-term contracts, and we now need to strengthen our welding team, which currently consists of over 80 employees, with even more independent and driven individuals for the role of robotic welder.
Your future challenge
As a robotic welder, you will work from drawings performing robotic welding of components and hulls for our products, the CV90 and BVS10. The work involves programming, rigging, setting up, loading, and operating the robot. The role also includes inspecting components and performing manual post-welding work using MIG/MAG/TIG techniques as needed. You will also operate forklifts and overhead cranes.
Along with providing the best tools and equipment available, we are a group that cares for and supports each other. We are a workplace with high morale and a strong focus on corporate culture. Here, you have the chance to grow with us and help secure the future. In addition to standard company benefits such as reduced working hours and wellness allowances, we also offer flexible working hours to help balance life. We also provide a relocation allowance if you move to Örnsköldsvik from elsewhere.
The position is a permanent, full-time role. We are currently working day shifts but will soon transition to shift work.
Who you are
We are looking for you with a high school education who is trained as a welder or has equivalent practical experience. You have strong skills in MIG/MAG/TIG welding, are accustomed to working from drawings, and have good knowledge of programming and computer usage. You have good material knowledge, particularly regarding steel, but preferably also stainless steel and aluminum.
Experience with ABB or IGM robots is desirable. If you do not already have a welding license, forklift, and/or crane certificates, we will provide them!
Swedish language skills, both spoken and written, are required for the role, and you need to have basic IT knowledge.
As a person, you have your own drive and a focus on quality, and you take pride in delivering well-executed work. You should be able to work independently and take responsibility for your tasks, but also collaborate effectively in a team. Orderliness and a high level of risk awareness are qualities we value.
What you will become part of
Here, you will enjoy your job! You will get to work with future technology in a global company where you have great opportunities for development. You will become part of a team consisting of competent and supportive colleagues who deliver high-quality welding work in our production flow.
