Boliden is a high-tech metals company with its own mines and smelters, working long-term to guarantee society's access to base and precious metals. For a century, our work has been part of the value chains that have shaped modern society. At Boliden, we know that the metals we mine and make available will play a crucial role in the future - what matters is how we produce them. Become part of us and drive change for future generations.
Your Role
We are now looking for an Operations Technician whose main responsibility lies within gates, traverses, and elevators, as well as grating drains and railings. As an operations technician, you work closely with both operations and maintenance directed towards the crusher & feed system and the concentrator, with a focus on coordination and development within the operations. The role is independent and involves broad responsibility where you drive improvement work, lead activities, and ensure that work is carried out according to our routines, processes, and high safety requirements.
Collaboration and communication are a natural part of your daily life, where you cooperate with several functions and contribute to the whole in the operations.
Your Team
You are part of a small team with broad assignments and have many contact points, both internally and externally. The work is scheduled during daytime hours.
We are also looking for another colleague for Operations Technician within ABB systems - see separate advertisement.
Your Responsibilities
In the role, you will among other things:
- Be responsible for gates, traverses, and elevators as well as grating drains and railings
- Handle emergency measures and preventive maintenance
- Inspect load-bearing structures
- Lead and structure work meetings with a focus on operations
- Drive smaller projects related to the operations
- Conduct documentation, action plans, and follow-ups
- Participate in projects regarding the purchase of materials and services
- Ensure that ergonomics, safety, and occupational health aspects are considered
- Maintain an ongoing dialogue with the operations through meetings and presence in the field
The work takes place largely on-site in the operations.
Your Contribution
To succeed in the role, you are structured, self-initiative, and solution-oriented. You thrive in a dynamic environment with many contact points and have a strong commitment to improvement work.
You have a good ability to prioritize, are persistent in longer processes, and communicate clearly. Through your way of collaborating, you contribute to a good work climate and build trusting relationships.
Requirements:
- High school education
- Experience and good understanding of load-bearing structures and safety aspects related to steel structures and access ways
- Knowledge of corrosion protection
- Good administrative skills and familiarity with Office programs
- Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
- Manual B driver's license
It is an advantage if you have experience of purchasing, a maintenance system such as Maximo, and work with machinery in an industrial environment.
