At Food & Co Boländerna, we are much more than a lunch restaurant. We offer a café, conferences, catering, and events – and now we are looking for a new colleague who wants to develop our business together with us.

About the role

As a Café & Event Host/Hostess, you will become one of the most important people in the operation. You are the face of our business, ensuring that our guests always feel welcome and receive an experience that makes them want to return.

You will work with a variety of tasks including the café, conferences, catering, and events, while also helping us develop our presence on social media. Here you will have the opportunity to be creative, take initiative, and put your own stamp on the business.

Your responsibilities

• Responsible for the daily operations of the café.
• Create a welcoming and inspiring environment for our guests.
• Bake and develop an attractive range of pastries, cakes, and other treats.
• Prepare sandwiches, salads, and simpler café products.
• Serve coffee and provide top-class service to guests.
• Plan, prepare, and execute conferences and events.
• Assist with catering and deliveries as needed.
• Ensure that the café and conference areas always maintain high quality.
• Actively work on upselling and contribute to the development of the business.
• Photograph, film, and create inspiring content for Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
• Contribute ideas for campaigns, events, and activities that strengthen our brand and increase sales.
• Work according to our routines for quality, hygiene, and self-control.

We are looking for you who

You are a person who spreads energy around you. You enjoy meeting people, take initiative, and see opportunities where others see obstacles. For you, service is second nature, and you are driven by creating experiences that guests remember.

We believe that you:

• Have experience from a café, restaurant, hotel, or conference center.
• Are a natural salesperson who likes to build relationships and provide personal service.
• Are positive, cheerful, engaged, and driven.
• Are self-motivated and take responsibility for your work.
• Enjoy baking and developing the café's product range.
• Have an eye for detail and appreciate when everything looks neat, welcoming, and inviting.
• Have a strong interest in social media and feel comfortable creating engaging content in the form of images, videos, and posts.
• Have experience with Canva or similar tools (preferred).
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment where tasks vary from day to day.
• Have a valid driver's license (Category B) (meritorious).
• You are at least 18 years old.
• You enjoy planning and structuring your work to make it efficient.
• With your positivity, you take responsibility for maintaining a high level of service throughout the day.
• You understand the importance of professional and flexible customer interaction.
• You have very good administrative skills and are good at juggling multiple tasks simultaneously.
• You are meticulous and have an easy time collaborating as well as working independently.
• You can take initiative and enjoy fast-paced days.
• You speak and write Swedish and English fluently.
• You are computer literate and have good knowledge of Office 365.
• Experience with invoicing and reporting is a plus.
