Welcome to the Municipal Executive Office. Here you will work together with employees from departments for communication, HR, IT, finance, procurement, and property, as well as the departments for quality and planning, security and sustainability, and the administrative office. The Municipal Executive Office also houses the organizations for business and destination, as well as shared services. The Municipal Executive Office serves as the link between the decisions of our elected officials and all municipal operations. We are looking for a proactive, quality-focused, and innovative cook for our production kitchen at Valsätra School Restaurant. At the Valsätra restaurant, we serve approximately 900 meals daily. The Valsätra school kitchen also prepares and delivers approximately 200 meals to Lilla Valsätra, located nearby. Your duties will include planning, preparing, and cooking meals according to the Meal Service menu, as well as planning and making food purchases together with your colleagues. We continuously develop our operations to stay at the forefront and are gradually increasing our organic purchases.
The position is full-time, Monday to Friday, but weekend work may occur.
Meal Service is a department within the Municipal Executive Office that operates restaurants in preschools, schools, high schools, senior restaurants, and residential facilities within healthcare and social care. Description of Duties
Your duties include planning, preparing, and cooking meals according to the Meal Service menu, as well as planning and making food purchases together with the other cooks in the kitchen. Baking bread daily and presenting the food in an appealing manner when serving guests is a given.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with a cook's education or other education that the employer considers equivalent. To succeed in the role, you need documented experience working as a cook and good knowledge of special diet handling. The job requires good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
We would appreciate if you have education in special diets, need-adapted food, and documented experience in cooking for special diets. Proficiency in computers with knowledge of Microsoft 365 and diet data systems is considered an asset. Having a B-class driver's license is also considered an asset.

You take responsibility and drive your work forward to achieve results. You plan, organize, and prioritize your work efficiently and understand economic connections and the factors that lead to a balanced business economy.
