In Uppsala, Nordrest operates restaurants and cafés within the university premises at Ekonomikum, BMC, Ångström, and Rudbeck, as well as at Akademiska Sjukhuset. Here, we serve lunch daily but also work with conferences, events, and parties. We have a comprehensive catering operation with a strong focus on sustainability and innovative solutions in the field.

We need to strengthen one of our production kitchens with a chefs de partie (cold station). We are looking for you who have a great passion for food and flavors, enjoy a fast-paced environment, value order and cleanliness, and want to drive the business forward together with the rest of the team. You will be involved in menu planning, inventory, self-control regarding food hygiene, booking planning, general guest contact, and are responsible for ensuring our unit follows the company's routines, policies, and legal requirements.

Who is our new dream colleague?

You are a cheerful person with experience in the culinary and service professions, accustomed to building good relationships and contacts with guests. As a person, you are responsible, ambitious, and respectful towards your surroundings.

We want you to have:

• A 3-year upper secondary culinary education or equivalent, preferably with a focus on cold station
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English
• Class B driver's license

• Previous work experience as a chef
• Experience with menu planning and ordering supplies
• A solid interest and preferably knowledge and experience in sustainability work, as the restaurant is both environmentally and quality certified according to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001
