The Ramsta school and preschool kitchen is a bright, spacious, and well-equipped kitchen with good structure and order, offering all opportunities to prepare and develop meals. In our school restaurant, we serve meals to 330 students and their teachers. We also prepare meals for Ramsta Preschool and its approximately 70 children and adults. Here you will work in a team consisting of 2 chefs and 2 meal assistants.

Meal Service is a business unit within the Municipal Executive Office that operates restaurants and kitchens in preschools, primary schools, upper secondary schools, senior restaurants, and housing within healthcare and social care services. Description of duties

As a chef, you will plan, prepare, and cook various meals according to the Meal Service menu, as well as plan and purchase food ingredients together with the rest of the kitchen staff. Your duties include cooking, bread baking, special diet preparation, and other usual tasks in a kitchen. You present the food in an appealing way when serving guests, which also involves meeting guests in the school restaurant.

We have close cooperation with the school and preschool and work together to reduce waste. Ramsta School has large natural areas, which means guests often eat both lunch and snacks outdoors. You stay informed about the ingredients in the food and present them so that guests are guaranteed an allergy-safe and pleasant meal.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a trained chef and also trained in special diets and food. The position requires several years of experience in food hygiene. It is an advantage to have several years of experience as a chef and working with special diets.

As a person, you are outgoing and social in your work. You easily establish contact with others and maintain relationships. You collaborate well with others and relate to your surroundings in a listening and flexible manner. You listen, communicate, and resolve conflicts constructively. When circumstances change, you easily adapt your perspective and approach. In your work, you plan, organize, and prioritize your tasks efficiently, while adhering to set timeframes.

Uppsala Municipality applies individual and differentiated salary setting according to the current collective agreement.
