About Vårdcentral Avestahälsan

Vårdcentral Avestahälsan has been in operation since 2012 and currently has nearly 8,000 registered patients. Around 35 employees work here, including district doctors, specialist trainees (ST), general practice trainees (AT), basic trainees (BT), physiotherapists, occupational therapists, midwives, child health care nurses, and district nurses with various specializations. We also have nurse advisors, medical secretaries, psychotherapists, assistant nurses, and our own laboratory.

We are a privately owned health center with a care choice agreement with Region Dalarna. This means that for the individual patient, the exact same conditions, care guarantees, and fees apply as at a publicly run health center. Vårdcentral Avestahälsan is independent of large healthcare corporations and operates solely in Avesta, although we have many registered patients from surrounding municipalities in both southern Dalarna and northern Västmanland.

Our premises were expanded and renovated in 2021 and are well adapted for our operations. We share the building with Företagshälsovård Avestahälsan (Corporate Health Care Avestahälsan).

Job Responsibilities

We currently have two physiotherapists working part-time and wish to expand the team with an additional physiotherapist at approximately 80% (this percentage is open to discussion). You will work in close collaboration with other physiotherapists, a rehabilitation assistant, and an occupational therapist, as well as in a team-based manner with doctors, nurses, and talk therapists at the health center.

Start date from April 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter.

Qualifications

Requirements

• Licensed physiotherapist or licensed occupational therapist (note: "sjukgymnast" is the older Swedish term for physiotherapist).
• References available by phone.

Merits

We would appreciate it if you had experience working in primary care, but most importantly, you must have an interest in working within primary care.

Personal Qualities

We place great emphasis on personal qualities. You are solution-focused and possess good judgment. You have good ability and experience in collaborating, both internally and externally, and have an interest in participating in the clinic's development work.
