Your Role
The role of Sports Groundskeeper involves daily supervision and maintenance of Söderhamn Municipality's leisure facilities and associated properties, based at Hällåsen. You will be part of a small team working towards common goals within the unit. You and your team are responsible for operational maintenance at the execution level.
During the winter, a large part of the work will take place in our ice halls. This includes ice maintenance, ice surface grooming, operating ice resurfacers, and edge milling. Other tasks include snow production, track maintenance, and machine operation. In the summer, the work shifts partly to green recreational areas, outdoor pools, trails, paths, jogging tracks, and spontaneous sports areas.
Operations run year-round, and for some time now, there has also been ice in one of the halls during the summer. Machine operation, such as ice resurfacers, tractors, green area machines, and all-terrain vehicles, is part of the daily work. To ensure good accessibility, we staff the facilities seven days a week and work in shifts, including evenings and weekends.
We are looking for you who are a problem solver, curious, and open to learning new things. You thrive working both independently and in a group. As a person, you are proactive, stress-resistant, and have a good ability to interact professionally with citizens, associations, and visitors. You have good social skills, are responsible, and flexible in your work.
Workplace Description
Hällåsen Drift is part of the Sports and Leisure unit, and we are located at the leisure area Hällåsen in Söderhamn. The Sports and Leisure unit is part of Söderhamn Municipality, Sector of Community Services.
In the Sector of Community Services, activities and competencies are gathered that together have the greatest impact on actively promoting sustainable societal development, serving as the municipality's technical competence, and developing good living environments. Internal service, citizen service, and operational urban planning are the business areas within the sector. Here, approximately 800 employees work with examples such as catering services, facility maintenance, staffing, car pool, sports and leisure, customer service, authority enforcement, detailed planning, and project office.
Your Competence
We would like you to have completed a secondary education with a practical-technical focus and that you have previously worked within operational maintenance in the described areas. We also expect you to handle digital tools as our work includes these tools in daily operations.
It is meritorious if you have experience with ice resurfacers and snow grooming machines.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities.
The position is a permanent employment, where a probationary period may apply.
