Do you want to help develop acute psychiatric care for adults within Prima Nordost's catchment area? We are now looking for a specialist physician in psychiatry for our psychiatric emergency unit in Danderyd.

Patients arrive at the emergency unit via several pathways – through referral from primary care, through assignments from our outpatient clinics, or by the patient or their relatives contacting us directly. Our main task is to assess and manage acute psychiatric conditions, although we also perform care level assessments to some extent. The contacts are generally short-term and based on the unit's mandate, and visits can take place both at the clinic and in the patient's home.

The team working at the emergency unit consists of nurses, care assistants, and doctors. You will become part of a multidisciplinary team where the competence of each professional group contributes to safe and evidence-based assessments.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed physician with specialist competence in psychiatry. You are confident in clinical decision-making, have a good ability to make independent assessments, and feel comfortable handling a broad spectrum of diagnoses and acute conditions.

Employment Type

The position is a permanent position with an initial probationary period of 6 months. Full-time is the starting point, but part-time can be discussed.
