Psykiatry Care Stockholm is a newly established unit within the Stockholm County Council (SLSO). Here, we consolidate care for patients over 18 years old with psychotic disorders into one organizational unit. We offer assessment, investigation, and treatment in accordance with national guidelines and regional care programs. Within Psykiatry Care Stockholm, we conduct development work, education, and research regarding psychotic disorders. We work in multidisciplinary teams to provide the best possible care and treatment around the patient.
Description
Ward 3 is located at S:t Göran's Hospital and has 14 care beds, one of which is designated for self-referral admission. We care for patients with psychotic disorders with a strong focus on person-centered care and patient involvement.
As one of our night nurses is on parental leave this autumn, we are looking for a substitute for 80–100 percent for a period of six months.
Responsibilities
As a night nurse, you have a central, supervisory role and are responsible for leading and coordinating the night's nursing care together with the rest of the night team. You are responsible for the care and supervision of patients during the night and distribute tasks based on competence, staffing, and patient safety. The role includes medication management, including the narcotic register and control, night-time admissions and discharges in consultation with doctors, and work according to the Psychiatric Care Act (LPT), where you participate in compulsory measures based on medical decisions. You handle acute psychiatric and somatic situations, alarms, document and report to the following shift, and contact doctors in case of deteriorating conditions or situations outside your area of competence. We use TakeCare as our electronic health record system.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who are a registered nurse, preferably with experience in psychiatric inpatient care. Specialist education in psychiatry is an advantage. You are confident in the supervisory role, can prioritize and plan independently, and are calm, empathetic, and secure in your interaction with the patient – even in pressured situations. Since night work often involves working alone, we place great emphasis on responsibility and good teamwork skills.
Conditions
Substitute position for six months with start date in autumn as agreed. Night shifts with the possibility of working between 80–100% as agreed. Weekend shifts according to schedule.
We offer, among other things, a wellness hour and wellness allowance (5,000 SEK/year), free outpatient healthcare, several insurance policies, and ongoing competence development. For those over 40, additional vacation days are included.
Selection and interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis – we warmly welcome your application!
The position will be filled provided it does not need to be reserved for internal relocation, according to current regulations.
