In the role of teacher, you are responsible for teaching Swedish Level 1 and English Level 1 at Gränsälvsgymnasiet’s vocational and university-preparatory programs. You plan, lead, and evaluate your lessons, striving to create meaningful and engaging learning environments. In addition to your teaching, you collaborate closely with your colleagues and the student health team to promote student development. Together with the work team, you actively work to develop and improve both the work environment and the school as a whole. The position also includes mentorship duties.

Your Competence

We are looking for you who are an upper secondary school teacher with the qualification to teach Swedish and English. You have good knowledge of handling computers and other technical aids in your daily work. Experience of teaching at the upper secondary level or in the later years of compulsory school is considered an advantage. As a person, you are curious and driven, and you thrive in collaboration with others. You are meticulous and care about maintaining high quality in your work. We see that you find it easy to meet different people and have the ability to motivate and create engagement.

You are passionate about your subjects and spark students' interest through varied and accessible teaching. You find it easy to collaborate and build good relationships, both with students and with colleagues and external partners. You are self-reliant and have the ability to manage, structure, and take responsibility for your time and tasks.

For this position, you are required to have:

• Qualification as an upper secondary school teacher in English and French
• Experience of teaching, preferably from both vocational and university-preparatory programs
• Good digital competence
• Good ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing
