Job Description

As a Structural Engineer (Handläggande Konstruktör), you will work with design and static calculations in construction projects, from system documentation to construction documentation. You are responsible for producing and quality-assuring load-bearing systems, calculation models, and structural documentation in close collaboration with project managers.

The role involves both independent calculation work and coordination with architects, MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing), and other disciplines. This role is suitable for you who want a clear technical focus and who can develop towards project leadership responsibilities in the long term.

The position is based in Umeå or Mora.

Qualifications

For the role of Structural Engineer, we are looking for you who have strong technical competence and experience working with static calculations and structural documentation in construction projects. You are meticulous, analytical, and thrive taking responsibility for your own work in close collaboration with project managers.

Requirements for the role:

  • At least 5 years of experience as a building structural engineer
  • Practical experience with static calculations and sizing
  • Good knowledge of Eurocodes and BBR (Swedish Building Regulations)
  • Experience working in Revit and/or Tekla
  • Good proficiency in Swedish (written and spoken)
  • Valid driver's license (Category B)

You have a structured approach to work and work independently with calculations and documentation, while actively contributing to coordination with architects, MEP, and other disciplines. This role is suitable for you who wish to deepen your technical competence and take on greater responsibility in projects in the long term.

Merits:

  • Experience with projects within hospitals, defense, or security
  • Experience working with FEM programs, such as FEM-Design
  • Experience with coordination and review of structural documentation
