The Community Development Administration is a new administration with approximately 90 employees, encompassing the divisions of Technology and Service, Culture and Leisure, the Public Health Unit, and the newly formed Building and Environment Division. Starting January 1, 2027, the municipality will take over building and environmental activities in-house, meaning we are now building a new operation with a strong focus on service, accessibility, and lawful authority enforcement.
Some positions are security classified, so a security clearance interview may also become part of the recruitment process. For some positions, we require extracts from the criminal record register and presentation of a B-driver's license. Valid identification must be presented if you are called for an interview.

We are now looking for two building permit administrators who want to help build our new Building and Environment Division. With us, building permits are not just about rules and legislation – it is about helping people move forward.

For many of our residents and business owners, a construction project is a major investment and an important dream for the future. As a building permit administrator, you become an important guide through the process and contribute to turning ideas into reality.
Job Responsibilities
As a building permit administrator, you are both an advisor, an authority official, and an enabler. You help private individuals, companies, and associations realize their construction projects through professional guidance and lawful processing.
The assignment includes among other things:
- Provide advice and guidance to private individuals, companies, and other actors.
- Process building permit, land use permit, demolition permit, and notification cases from application to final decision.
- Process preliminary decisions and coastal protection dispensations.
- Process supervision cases according to the Planning and Building Act.
- Evaluate cases based on the Planning and Building Act, detailed plans, and other relevant regulations.
- Prepare decision materials and make decisions according to delegation.
- Collaborate with colleagues, authorities, and other actors in the community development process.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have:
- Education as a construction engineer, building permit administrator, architect, building archaeologist, or other education that the employer considers equivalent.
- Good knowledge of the Planning and Building Act (PBL) and related legislation.
- Good ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
- B-driver's license.
Experience and Knowledge
It is meritorious if you have:
- Experience of the building permit process, either from authority enforcement or from work within the construction sector.
- Experience in advisory roles, customer contacts, or other service-oriented activities.
- Interest in digitalization and development of working methods.
- Meritorious if you have previously worked in ByggR/Nova.
