We need to strengthen our operations within Civil North in Norrbotten with a Project Engineer for our ongoing and upcoming projects. As a Project Engineer in Planning at NCC, you will have an important role in driving our projects forward – from idea to reality. You will become part of an engaged team of project engineers where you will have the opportunity to develop within the field, while contributing to creating sustainable solutions for society's future.

The Role of Project Engineer Planning

As a Project Engineer in Planning, you play a key role in ensuring that the project is carried out efficiently according to plan by preparing and reviewing schedules and ensuring the connection to the cost estimate. You work closely with project management, who own their schedules, and your task is to prepare, monitor actual results against forecasts, adjust, and maintain schedules in scheduling software. In this role, you have many contact points and collaborate with both production and design, contracts, and environment, hold work meetings, and participate in sub-project meetings.

As a project engineer within the department, you will report to our Group Manager within the production group and work together with our other project engineers within the department and in the project, as well as participate in networks within the field at NCC, for example, joining a specialist network focused on planning.

Your Profile

To be successful and thrive in the role, you have production experience combined with a technical university degree and an interest in planning issues. You have a background such as Planning Specialist, Project/Contracting Engineer, Site Manager, or Project Manager.

You are accustomed to working with scheduling software and can present information in a simple and pedagogical manner. You understand the connections between good planning, progress, and economics. You see the big picture in planning management and can then break it down to a detailed level.

As a person, you are good at building relationships and are clear in your communication with both internal and external stakeholders. We place great emphasis on you being driven, self-reliant, development-oriented, and responsible. To succeed in the role, you also need to have a pedagogical ability where you clearly and naturally bring your surroundings with you. You have a structured way of working and the ability to plan your work, enjoy driving multiple issues in parallel, like the administrative part, and thrive with the proximity to the pulse out in production. You speak and write both Swedish and English and hold a category B driver's license. We will place great emphasis on your personal qualities.

About Civil North

Our department Civil North works with earthworks, civil engineering, and infrastructure projects. We are approximately 500 engaged employees divided into seven site manager groups within our geography: Norrbotten, Västerbotten, Västernorrland, Jämtland, and Värmland.

Additional Information

The position is a permanent employment with a six-month probationary period. The role requires regular physical presence out in our projects, and we are therefore looking for you who live – or have the possibility to move – within Norrbotten County. Our initial projects are within commuting distance from Älvsbyn, but weekly commuting to other project locations may occur later. Start date by agreement. Category B driver's license is a requirement for the position. This position will be background checked in accordance with NCC's safety culture. The department works with security-classified projects.
