The Role of Project Engineer in Cost Control
As a Project Engineer in Cost Control, you play a vital role in the economic management and progress of the project. You work closely with project management to ensure that the project is executed within set cost limits. You collect data, monitor completed work, and relate it to recorded costs and man-hours. Together with the project management, you analyze and assess the project's financial status.
You are responsible for checking and posting supplier invoices, assisting in forecasting reports, and coordinating purchasing and delivery plans according to production needs. You handle drawings and models, monitor documentation from subcontractors, and ensure that contractual requirements are met.
As a project engineer within the department, you will report to our Group Manager within the production group. You will work together with our other project engineers within the department and in the project, and you will also be part of the network within the area at NCC.
Your Profile
To thrive and succeed in this role, we see that you have experience in a broad range of work within construction production. You have experience with production calculations, cost monitoring, and contract law. A post-secondary education in the field is preferred. It is an advantage if you have experience from a similar role in production-related activities within the infrastructure or construction industry, as well as an understanding of our type of operations.
As a person, you are social and a good networker who enjoys having extensive contact surfaces both internally and externally. We place great emphasis on you being driven, self-reliant, development-oriented, and responsible. To succeed in the role, you also need to have pedagogical and communicative skills, allowing you to clearly and naturally engage those around you.
You have a structured approach to work and the ability to plan your tasks. You enjoy managing multiple issues in parallel, like the administrative aspects, and thrive in close proximity to the pulse of production. You possess administrative skills and share our values. You speak and write both Swedish and English and hold a Category B driver's license. We will place great emphasis on your personal qualities.
