Commissioning Engineer / Tester
Join us on this exciting journey!
We are expanding and need to strengthen our organization with a commissioning engineer/tester. Do you thrive in a role with autonomy where you plan your own workday and have the opportunity to commission facilities and provide service to customers across the country? Then this might be the job for you!
Who are we?
Olssons Elektromekaniska is a market-leading provider of reliable backup power in the Scandinavian market. The company started in the 1950s as a repair workshop for electric motors. In the 1980s, the focus shifted to what is the foundation today: manufacturing backup power systems for various sectors of society – in the spirit of a family business. Demand is steadily increasing, and customers are offered holistic solutions ranging from design, manufacturing, assembly, and installation to upgrading and modifying existing systems. With extensive experience and high competence, solutions are tailored, and every project is adapted to the customer's specific needs.

Commissioning Engineer / Tester at Olssons Elektromekaniska
You will be offered independent and stimulating work in a pleasant environment with good camaraderie and skilled colleagues in a market-leading and well-established company. You will become part of the team involved in the entire customer process, from start to finish. This means you will have the opportunity to see the facility grow from the drawing board, through our workshop in Rydsgård, to assembly, commissioning, and on-site service at the customer's location.
As a commissioning engineer/tester for backup power, you will become an important part of the team working with commissioning and emergency service. As a commissioning engineer, you program and test products before delivery to the customer, as well as perform commissioning and troubleshooting on-site at our customers' locations around Sweden. This involves approximately 50–60 travel days with overnight stays per year.
Who we think you are:
You have good knowledge of electricity and automation, and preferably previous experience working as a commissioning engineer/tester. Documented experience in any of the following areas is preferred:
- Backup Power
- Rectifier Systems
- Switchgear
The company provides internal training in these areas when needed. Good computer skills are required, as a large part of the commissioning and troubleshooting work is done using a PC as a tool.
You are meticulous and independent, structured, stress-resistant, and have good administrative skills. We place great emphasis on social skills, as a large part of the work is performed on-site at customer locations and in collaboration with colleagues.
A valid Class B driver's license is required.
