Academic Resource is now looking for Operators for a Life Science company in Umeå.

The position is initially a consulting assignment until the turn of the year.

Working hours: 07:00-16:00, daytime, 40 hours/week. Location in Umeå.

Start date: August 17.

About the department:

The company manufactures instruments for research & pharmaceutical manufacturing.

The production groups are responsible for the manufacturing of articles, assembly of instruments, replenishment of floor stock, picking of materials, as well as control and packaging according to current specifications. In addition, everyone is responsible for being involved in the daily planning within the group, keeping order and discipline, and following applicable laws, regulations, and policies. The employee is expected to define, report, and in some cases investigate deviations, and take an active role in initiating and driving improvements within production and the company.

The team consists of production managers, technicians (ME), quality engineers (QE), production planners, group coordinators, and operators who assemble, test & pack products.

Responsibilities:

• Assembly, control, module/system testing, and packaging of the production group's products, spare parts, and accessories.
• Administration of order documents in accordance with established procedures and instructions.
• Continuously propose and, after agreement with the manager, also implement improvements in your own work process and work environment.
• Be helpful and collaborate with other departments and colleagues.
• Rotate within the factory's different departments as needed.

Qualifications:

• 3-year upper secondary education in technology, or at least 1 year of experience in the manufacturing industry.
• Previous experience from the manufacturing industry & working with change management.
• Good Swedish and English skills in speech and writing, as well as good computer skills.
• Forklift license is an advantage.
